It is believed that the October 1st ban is part of a campaign against pornography.
According to fonlyChief executive Stockley, the banks’ suspension of payments is making things difficult for OnlyF. Stockley stated that JPMorgan “has little to say about shutting down s3x employees or….any company that supports s3x workers,” adding that “we’re paying over $300 million a month to over a million creators, and to make sure that money gets to creators, the banking industry needs to get engaged.” The platform’s 130 million users mostly access pornographic content, despite the platform’s efforts to promote other performers like artists or fitness experts.
Recently, other celebrities have joined in, including Cardi B. Stockley is the son of Guy Stockley, a former investment banker for Barclays who was called the “King of Homemade P0rn” by Time Magazine (after the paywall). John Carlyle, a veteran banker for Lehman Brothers and JP Morgan, serves as OnlyF’s chief financial officer.
