Nigerian singer Adekunle Kosoko, popular as Adekunle Gold, released his third studio album dubbed “Afro-Pop Volume 1“, on August 21 2020. Released under EMI Records Label.

The Lagos-born singer has said that the 10-track sound-piece, which he especially connotes as African Popular Music, is a reflection of his growing versatility, which fans have witnessed since his sophomore album, About 30, in 2018.

On his third album, Adekunle Gold shows off his growing versatility in a unique and experimental addition to his discography. Weaving threads of Afropop through a multitude of genres, the Nigerian artist avails himself of the joys of exploration. “Afro Pop, Vol. 1 is my freedom,” he tells with Apple Music.

The newly released project, Afro Pop Vol. 1 contains a total number of 10-tracks with guest appearances from Nailah Blackman, Patoranking, Olayinka Ehi and Tekno.

Afro Pop Vol. 1 is a diverse take on pop music. It encompasses all genres, heavily influenced by his afro roots.
