Ankita Murder case Explained
Former Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das while targeting the state government said that the way a miscreant entered his house and set the girl on fire, our society and Jharkhand are ashamed of it. Under the Hemant Soren government, there were more than 1000 incidents against women in the state. I demand from this government to set up an SIT. No one is safe in the state.
Union Minister and former Jharkhand CM Arjun Munda asked many questions to the state government. Who is responsible for such incidents? Were appropriate measures taken to save the victim? How will the accused be punished? The state government should answer. The state government should tell what it is doing to get the culprits punished. How has the morale of such people increased? What is the administration doing to ensure that such incidents do not recur in the future? I demand that the state government should constitute a special task force that should file the charge sheet on time and the decision comes on time so that people have faith in the law and justice is done.
Regarding this matter, the National Commission for Women wrote a letter to the Jharkhand Police Chief and demanded a fair investigation. The NCW chief said that since the arrest of the accused has already been done, we sought a report on the action taken by the DGP of Jharkhand. What kind of mentality is this that you force a woman to marry and if she refuses, then you will set her on fire, it is pathetic.
