A child has been found dead inside a car that caught fire in a crash on Christmas Eve.
The golden Nissan Tiida crashed into a tree at the intersection of Marine Terrace and Level Avenue in Geraldton, Western Australia, just before 11am on Saturday.
WA Police confirmed they responded to several vehicles on fire on the main road in the suburb of West Finish Geraldton at 11am.

Police removed a body from the vehicle immediately after emergency teams extinguished the blaze, The West Australian reported.
The deceased was identified as a 17-year-old boy, and the police confirmed that he died in an accident at the scene.
Detectives also confirmed no one else was involved in the accident.
Principal crash investigators are examining the scene and any witnesses are of interest, police said.
Tributes to the unnamed teenager have been posted on social media since Christmas Eve.
My sincere apologies to the family. He was an amazing son, brother, nephew and athlete, one person learned.
Another woman claimed her husband tried to find the young driver in the car.
My husband is out there and probably in a mess right now and he cant cope in any way. Because he just wanted to help get that guy out. My condolences to the family are so tragic, she posted.
Investigators are looking into the crash and are urging witnesses to name police officers commercial.
