Nigerian music maestro, Burna Boy, has made rounds on social media over his ‘Lagos Loves Damini’ concert in Lagos.
The Grammy-winning artiste was to headline the ‘Lagos Loves Damini’ show on New Year’s Day with the cheapest ticket going for N30,000.
Prior to this, the show was scheduled to start by 8pm but many music lovers who arrived at the venue could see the technical crew still setting up and the show itself did not start until several hours later.
After fans complained of his late arrival at the Lagos concert for the cross over night into the new year, Burna Boy humiliated them by cursing them. Burna Boy told his fans that he still loves them and admitted that he would have left the venue and gone home if not for another music star, Seyi Vibez.
Furthermore, he accused the concert attendees of labeling him a murderer after a shooting incident between the singer and a newly-wedded couple at Obi Cubana’s club in Lagos last year and for mocking his mother for being Fela Kuti’s dancer before telling them, “I still love you, if you no love me, na God go punish you!”
After delivering what was more or less an anathema on his long-suffering fans, Burna Boy opened his performance with a famous line of his hit collaboration with Nigerian music sensation, Asake.
He also took his fans on a journey of his timeless hit songs and they sang along with so much delight.
While he performed, fans began to gradually make their way out of the venue.
The singer delivered his international smash hit ‘Last Last’, and the popular street anthem brought the show to a close.
