Lola Chantrelle Mitchell[1] (born August 7, 1979), better known by her stage name Gangsta Boo, is an American rapper born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. She is the second female member (after K-9) of Memphis-based hip-hop group Three 6 Mafia, where she first rose to fame. She left the band and label sometime in 2002, a few months after the release of her second album, Both Worlds *69, due to money disputes and issues related to album promotion. Since then, shes released mixtapes with artists such as La Chat and Yelawolf, as well as some solo music. She also appears on the album through clips. And run out of jewelry. She is hailed as a pioneer of female rap music.
Lola Chantrelle Mitchell was born on August 7, 1979 in the Whitehaven area of Memphis, Tennessee. She comes from a middle-class family who moved to the Hood after her parents divorced. She started rapping when she was about 14 years old.
Boos first solo album, Inquiring Minds, was released in 1998 and peaked at No. 15 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and No. 46 on the Billboard 200. [5][6] The album included the surprising hit Where Dem Dollas At!?.
Boo released her second album Both Worlds *69 in 2001, which peaked at No. 8 on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart and No. 29 on the Billboard 200 chart. In 2003, she released her third album, Inquiring Minds II: The Soap Opera. The album peaked at No. 53 on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart and No. 24 on the Independent Albums chart.
In 2009, Boo released her third official mixtape, The Rumors (after her previous mixtape Street Ringers Vol. 1 & Still Gangsta). She has also released two mixtapes with DJ Fletch, Miss.Com (no DJ version available on iTunes) and 4 Da Hood. On June 27, 2011, she released her mixtape Forever Gangsta with Trap-A-Holics. In 2013, she joined Three 6 Mafia spin-off group Da Mafia 6ix and was featured on their debut mixtape 6ix Commandments. Withdrew from the group in 2014. On May 27, 2014, the long drama Witch cooperating with Lexian was released. On October 14, 2014, Gangsta Boo collaborated with BeatKing to release the collaborative mixtape Underground Cassette Tape Music, Vol. 1. In 2018, the follow-up mixtape Underground Cassette Tape Music, Vol. 2 was released.
