Manchester United first team player, Jonny Evans has joined his name in the books of footballers that have received the MBE as a reward for their service.
The Red Devils defender, Jonny Evans received his MBE (Member of the British Empire) from Prince William at Buckingham Palace on Monday, November 28, 2023. He returned to the Manchester, club, eight years after he initially left the club and has featured perhaps more than expected so far this season, in the absence of Lisandro Martinez.
The 35-year-old who recently picked up an injury have played for three different clubs in eight years. Evans’ services to Northern Ireland in the game, have been recognised by the crown.
Recall that, the former Leicester City defender joined the Red Devils during the 2023 summer transfer window as a free agent. He signed a one-year deal which will expire at the end of this current season (2023/24).
