Moyo Lawal tells young entertainers not to be scared of controversies.
Actress Moyo Lawal has encouraged young entertainers to embrace controversies and live life on their own terms.
In an interview with Saturday Beats, she said, ‘I’m not sure what you mean by controversy, but I would advise young entertainers to live their lives. Mistakes are part of the journey; brush yourself off and stand up again. Remember, you’re living for yourself first, and then for entertainment. At the end of the day, it’s just a job, even though it intertwines with our lives.’
Reflecting on her recent birthday celebration on January 1st, Lawal shared, ‘My birthday was unexpected, and most of the plans were made last minute. However, I cherished every moment, including organizing a charity event and bringing smiles to people’s faces on the first day of the year. I also enjoyed celebrating with my dad and stepmother and appreciated my friends who came through for me last minute. It was all about love.’
Lawal also expressed her openness to any fan reactions this year, except hate. ‘I’m here to entertain, so fans can react however they like, as long as it’s not hate. You can’t follow someone you hate. I receive so much love that I don’t feel any negativity. I aim to make fans happy, laugh, angry, giggle, and even irritated,’ she concluded.”
