Major Lazer and Major League Djz link up to create a joint project, “Piano Republik” Album
Major League Djz, the South African DJ/producer duo consisting of identical twin brothers Bandile and Banele Mbere, and Major Lazer, an American electronic dance music DJ trio, which includes record producer Diplo, and DJs Walshy Fire and Ape Drums have teamed to release the collaborative album “Piano Republik“.
With Major Lazer’s signature blend of dancehall, reggae, and electronic music, and Major League DJz’s unique take on South African house music, “Piano Republik” promises to be a boundary-pushing album that explores the intersection of different genres and cultures.
The album will feature a range of talented collaborators from around the world, including established artists as well as up-and-coming musicians. Together, Major Lazer and Major League DJz hope to create a truly global sound that reflects the unique perspectives of each artist involved.
The album consists of 9-tracks featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Channel Tres, Tyla, LuuDaDeeJay, Yumbs, Gaba Cannal, Russell Zuma, Tiwa Savage, DJ Maphorisa, Brenda Fassie, Msaki, Boniface & DJ Rico.
