Nigerian singer Habeeb Olalomi Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has responded to the police declaration that he is wanted over an alleged assault on Ogun State officials.
The Ogun State Police Command had issued a warrant of arrest for the controversial artist, accusing him of attempted murder, conspiracy, and other offenses. In a series of posts on his Instagram story following the announcement, Portable reacted to the allegations, challenging the police to provide evidence that he assaulted any officials.
The Zeh Nation boss maintained that he had not killed anyone and warned that any harm done to him would lead to serious consequences. In another post, the Zazu crooner claimed he only associates with those who appreciate him and accused his enemies of trying to disgrace his success. He defiantly stated, “They should kill me so that everywhere can scatter,” insisting that his “glory” would defeat his adversaries.
Several individuals have also pleaded on his behalf. Portable’s first wife, Bewaji, appealed to the government, urging them to consider their children and grant him forgiveness. Additionally, an American woman spoke out in his defense, calling for the reopening of his Odogwu Bar and advocating for leniency.
As the situation unfolds, Portable’s fate remains uncertain, with law enforcement intensifying efforts to bring him to justice.
