Afrobeats superstar Wizkid sold out the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York, and his counterpart Davido was commiserated with during the concert.
Nigerian ace singer, songwriter, and performer, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, sold out New York’s largest indoor arena, Madison Square Garden, and his Nigerian counterpart Davido was also honoured during the show.
Davido, who had to postpone his “A.W.A.Y.” festival that was slated to happen at the 21,000-capacity State Farm Arena in Atlanta after the tragic loss of his three-year-old son, Ifeanyi, in a pool accident, was shown the deserved love at Wizkid’s concert yesterday, the 16th of November 2022.
Anchored by Wizkid’s right-hand man and personal disc jockey, DJ Tunez, Davido was commiserated with due to the painful loss as DJ Tunez played the singer’s hit tune, “Dami Duro.” Dedicating the moment to Davido (and his family), DJ Tunez said:
Davido we love you. OBO we love you… This one is for OBO. We love you.
