Srabani Sen came to Facebook early morning to post, “Aaj Maa bhore chole gelen (Mother left us today at dawn).”
According to the sources, Sen came down with a cold out of nowhere towards the end of last month and hospitalized in a private hospital on December 29. Her relatives had brought her home because they were concerned about her declining condition, and there is where she passed away.
Bronchopneumonia was the condition that discovered to be afflicting Sumitra Sen while she was a patient at the hospital. Her condition led to many complications, and she took her last breath in the early morning of January 3.
Srabani Sen had disclosed in a previous conversation with TV9 Bengali that her mother well past the prime of her age and afflicted with age-related ailments.
