A woman has taken to Twitter to claim that videos taken by hidden cameras at H&M fitting rooms are being sold on the dark web.

In the Trending video, five individuals can be seen in fitting rooms, believed to be in an outlet of a popular fashion retail brand, H&M.
One anonymous user claimed to be one of the victims in the video and asked the woman where she got the image from.
One of the people in that video, and it has caused embarrassment after the video was published publicly, said the victim.

It is alleged that the videos are being sold online, with sellers claiming to have recordings of couples and individuals in the fitting rooms.
Since the revelation in the original tweet, which has since been deleted by the owner to protect the privacy of the individuals in question, several individuals have reached out to share their own experiences to the user.
One of the victims who came forward claimed that she was one of the women in the video screenshot. She revealed that the fitting room location is most likely at the H&M Avenue K outlet as she went shopping there last October.

The poster also said that the person had provided a receipt of the purchase and pictures of the same clothes as the video as proof.
Following how viral the matter got, H&M Malaysia has since lodged a police report according to a statement.

We have conducted an inspection of all fitting rooms and are working to ensure that there are no security breaches that will compromise the privacy of our customers, the company explained.
Meanwhile, it has also been reported that the police are also investigating the claims. Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Noor Dellhan Yahaya said that they received a report on the matter.
He said that the case has been classified under Section 509 of the Penal Code for intentionally insulting the modesty of any woman by word, through sound, gesture or object.
