Afrosoul sensation Wurld has teased an upcoming Odumodublvck and DJ Maphorisa.
Sadiq Onifade, known popularly known as WurlD took to social media to share a snippet of his upcoming collaboration with Odumodublvck and South African DJ Maphorisa. The afrobeat artist shared a snippet of the upcoming collab via social media and said, “No suffering for us and our families 2024 and beyond. W x @odumodublvck x @djmaphorisa”.
This would be the first collaboration between any of the artists. Wurld recently captivated his fans with his latest EP, Don’t Get Used To This which was released on 10th November. The EP contains 8 songs such as ‘Location’ (a collab between WurlD and Afrobeats producer Sarz known for working with Beyonce, Wizkid, and Drake), ‘Sarafina’, ‘Do it’, and ‘Shake’.
Wurld recently revealed the reason behind his decision to give ‘Blow My Mind’ to Davido. He said he wrote the song which Davido released with R&B star Chris Brown in 2019. Speaking in a recent interview with 3Music TV, WurlD said he gave the duo the song because it was “It [giving ‘Blow My Mind’ to Davido] wasn’t planned. I was in Lagos promoting my project, ‘Love Is Contagious,’ and I got a call from my guy, producer Shizzi… It was even one of those things I didn’t plan for because I was gonna use the song myself. I wanted to get some features on the record, but I was promoting a new project, and I didn’t have time”.
Odumodublvck achieved a groundbreaking accomplishment as his most recent album, ‘Eziokwu,’ maintained the top spot on Spotify Nigeria for an impressive 11 consecutive weeks, setting new records.
